ate is an entrepreneur at heart. After graduating from International Business School in Budapest, he helped launch Superior14, a food supplement company.

His first exposure to bitcoin was in late 2012, and by mid-2013, he was actively mining with custom-built ASIC miners. In 2013, he founded Bitcoinist.com, a cryptocurrency news site that reached 1.5 million unique visitors per month before his successful exit in 2015.

Mate then co-founded Bitcoin.com, where he led the launch of the company’s wallet app and exchange integration. After holding various C-suite roles, he became CEO in 2019, overseeing a company restructuring that delivered multi-million dollar operating income growth.

His leadership style focuses on defining a clear vision and rallying teams behind it, while staying ahead of crypto and Web3 trends. A strong advocate for blockchain adoption, he is also a regular speaker at crypto and Web3 conferences.
